I am a son, husband, father and now grandfather. These have been the most important roles in my life over the past six decades. I would say I am most experienced at being a son, and very much still learning how to be a grandfather.

Alongside all of that, I have spent much of my working life in golf. It has taken me to places I did not expect, introduced me to people far more capable than me, and given me the chance to keep learning, to teach where I can, and to give something back. I have been fortunate to play a part in areas such as development, coach education and golf for the disabled (G4D), although I would be the first to say that anything worthwhile has always been a shared effort rather than an individual one.

If there is a thread that runs through it, it is simply a curiosity to understand how the game can be made better for more people, and a willingness to keep working at that, even if I am still figuring parts of it out as I go.
